Property Tax Rate Distribution
Maintenance & Operations (M&O): The portion of the property tax rate used to fund the City’s day-to-day operations and other lawful expenditures, excluding debt service.
Interest & Sinking (I&S): The portion of the property tax rate used to pay principal and interest on the City’s debt, including bonds issued to finance capital projects.
Adopted Tax Rate: The tax rate adopted by the governing body of a taxing unit.
