Flag Retirement Program

Worn flags can be dropped off at the Brenham Fire Department and at City Hall at the designated box in the foyer/lobby. Our flags honor those who have fought to protect us and serve our great nation as symbols and reminders of those who went before us. The flags deserve a dignified retirement.

Brenham Bucket Brigade

Hoser, Siren, Bucky, Blaze, Plug, along with puppets and various characters actively teach fire and life safety lessons to local children. The Brenham Bucket Brigade consists of active Brenham Fire Department Employees who know the dangers of fire first-hand. The Life Safety Education office annually reviews injury and death statistics for Washington County children ages birth to 13 years and incorporates high-occurrence subjects into the shows.

The Brenham Bucket Brigade performances are scheduled throughout September and October in honor of Fire Prevention Month. Life safety messages are shared with children in Brenham ISD, elementary schools within the city limits of Brenham.
