Use My Library Account
Once you have registered for a card, you will be able to manage many of your account details online. View how-to videos below.
By logging in to your account found at the top-right of the Library Catalog page you can:
- view and renew eligible borrowed items
- view your history of items you have checked out from the Library
- place holds or defer holds if you are going to be out of town
- set up automatic holds for your favorite authors
- request an item for the library to purchase or borrow through ILL
- update your contact information
- update your preferred method of contact
- change your password
- view important messages from the Library about your account
- access E-resources

Library Card
Apply for a Library Card
Texas residents ages 5 and older can get a free library card and gain access to an array of material items and digital resources. Just stop by the Library with a photo ID that shows your current Texas address and complete a quick Library card application to get your card. For those under 16, you will need a parent or guardian to sign the application for you.

If you currently have an NCRML account and your card has expired, give us a call at (979) 337-7201 to update your information.
Library Program
The Library holds classes and other educational programs for residents of all ages including Story Time, the Summer Reading Program, and Teen Night! There are also programs specifically for families, children, teens, and adults. All these programs are scheduled at the Library throughout the year.

Reserve
Library Items
Log into your online account within the Library Catalog. Place a hold or reserve an item by clicking on the title in the catalog and then clicking on "Reserve this item". A hold prevents the current borrower from renewing the book.
When it is returned, it will be reserved for you. Then, based on your account preferences, the library will call, email or text you to let you know that the item is available for pickup at the Library. If the reserved item is not retrieved within 3 days, it will be placed back in circulation.
If you are having trouble locating an item on the shelf, stop by the Library front desk and notify staff. Our staff members will take steps to try and locate the item(s).
Meeting Room
We have 3 meeting spaces of all different sizes that can be reserved by library card holders age 18 and older. A max of 2 reservations per month per group are allowed, and reservations can be made up to 1 year in advance.

Study Room
We have 2 study rooms that can be reserved in 1 or 2 hour blocks. A max of 2 reservations per day per group are allowed, and reservations can be made 24 hours in advance.

Request
Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Materials not at the Library may be borrowed through the ILL. The Library will call, text, or email to let you know when the item is available for pickup. To request an ILL call the library or log into your account and click on the request link under the Reserves / Requests tab.
FAQ’s About ILL
- What is the cost of my ILL?
The cost of an ILL is free to patrons. The Library pays a postage fee to return the borrowed item to the lending library. - What do I need to include when I request an ILL?
Please include the title, author, and the format (Book, DVD, CD, Large Print, etc.). For DVDs, information about release date in the notes field are helpful. - How long will it take my ILL to arrive?
Interlibrary Loans can arrive between 1-4 weeks at the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library. Please note that some situations differ and in certain cases can take longer. Some factors that result in longer response times include, how fast other libraries respond to requests and how far away items are traveling. - Where do I return my ILL item?
Please return your items normally in the library book drop or at the front desk with the ILL sleeve attached. - Can my ILL be renewed?
ILLs can be renewed in some cases, but are not automatically renewed like other Library items. We will have to request a renewal from the lending library, so please contact us at 979-337-7201 to ask for a renewal. - Can I request a newly published title?
Unfortunately, items must be at least six months old in order to request it through the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service.
A Purchase
We are happy to consider your request for materials that are not currently held at the Library. We are not able to fill every request but will try our best to get the item to you! To request an item, call the library, complete a paper request form at the front desk, or log into your account and click on the request link under the Reserves / Requests tab. The Library will call, text, or email to let you know when the item is available for pickup.
E-Resources
All library cardholders have access to free online electronic resources. From powerful digital databases and repair manuals to skill-building and language learning applications, these tools are a wonderful way to learn, explore, and create! Check out some of the featured resources below:
The Chilton Library is located within our Biblionix online catalog's list of Electronic Resources. It provides access to repair, maintenance, and service information on the most popular cars, trucks, vans and SUVs on the road today, as well as, many new vehicles. This continuously updated resource provides step-by-step repair procedures, troubleshooting guides, diagnostic trouble codes, photos, illustrations, diagrams, and multimedia (videos and animations) to simplify even the most complicated tasks.

JobNow™ provides live online assistance, powerful tools, and other resources for job-seekers! Patrons have 24/7 access to a carefully-selected library of job resources. In addition, Brainfuse virtual job coaches are available from 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm CST. Log into your online library account within our Biblionix catalog and locate this amazing service within our list of Electronic Resources. Create a new account with Brainfuse to get started!
Homework Help
Brainfuse HelpNow is a free Electronic Resource within the library's online catalog that assists students K-12 and adult learners with writing, math, science, computer skills, ASVAB, College prep, and more! HelpNow provides live online tutors from 2:00 pm - 11:00 pm for all Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library Cardholders, and users must create a new account on the HelpNow platform to participate.
To get started, log into your Library Card Account within the Online Catalog by entering your full library card number and phone number (with no dashes) in the fields at the top right-hand corner of the catalog. Select the Log In button. Next, scroll to the bottom of the list of Electronic Resources and select Brainfuse HelpNow. Select the next redirect link.
Under My Account, choose Sign Up on the sign-in window. Create a new account and enjoy free learning resources with live tutors!

Volunteering at the Library
We value your willingness to volunteer your time at the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library and appreciate your commitment to our community. As a volunteer at the Library, you can choose your role from a variety of opportunities and determine your own schedule. Volunteer assignments are determined by the needs of the Library and the needs of the volunteer. All volunteers must complete a volunteer application and schedule a brief orientation.

We welcome student volunteers at the Library. National Honor Society Students (NHS) and (NJHS) are encouraged to call (979) 337-7201 to schedule service hours.
Donate - Books and More
Donate your new and used books or DVDs and other materials to the Fortnightly Club for their annual book sale. Proceeds from this sale benefit the Library. All items may be dropped off 24 hours a day at the Fortnightly Club Book House located at 906 N. Park Street. Magazines and paperbacks may be dropped off at the Library.
Memorial Gifts
Honor or memorialize a loved one by sending a gift in their name to the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library. The honoree or their family will receive a note sharing that you made a gift in their honor. For a memorial donation, the loved one’s family will receive a note of your thoughtfulness. Please provide the name and address of both the donor and the honoree or a family member of the honoree. Memorial requests can be made in person or mailed to the library at 100 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy, Brenham, TX 77833.
