Notice 1 - July 27 & August 6, 2026

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held at the meetings of the Brenham Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 5:15 P.M. and the Brenham City Council on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. in the second floor Council Chambers of the Brenham Municipal Building located at 200 West Vulcan Street to consider the request below:

1. Case Number SPCUSE-26-0008: A request by Lachesha and Reginald Phillips for a Specific Use Permit to allow an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) in an R-1 Single-Family Residential Use Zoning District on property addressed as 1309 Hidden Creek Lane, and described as Lot 3B, Block 1, Sycamore Hill Subdivision, in Brenham, Washington County, Texas.

The Brenham Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing and possibly act regarding this request. All persons desiring to offer comments regarding this request are urged to attend this public meeting. Notice 2 - July 27 & August 20, 2026

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held at the meetings of the Brenham Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 5:15 P.M. and the Brenham City Council on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. in the second floor Council Chambers of the Brenham Municipal Building located at 200 West Vulcan Street to consider the request below:

1. Case Number TEXT AMEND-26-0002: A City-Initiated request to amend the City of Brenham Code of Ordinances Appendix A – Zoning, as follows:

  • Amending Appendix A: Zoning, Part II, Division 2, R-2, Mixed Residential District, Section 2.05(6), and Downtown Business/Residential Overlay District, Section 9.03(3), amending the minimum site area for multi-family development per dwelling unit; and
  • Amending Appendix A: Zoning, Part II, Division 1, Section 12, amending the landscaping and buffering standards and to define additional landscaping requirements between dissimilar uses.

The Brenham Planning and Zoning Commission and Brenham City Council will hold public hearings and possibly take action regarding these requests.
