Brenham, TX

Starting the week of November 4, 2019, workers will be shifting the lanes of traffic on FM 389 between Farewell Ln. and Farewell Ln. while work is being performed across the roadway. The roadway will remain open, however, expect delays if you regularly travel through this area.

The area leading from Farewell St. to Tracye Lee down to Blake Dr. has had drainage issues in the past and the City of Brenham has allocated funding to improve this drainage section. Minor work will occur around Farewell St leading to Kevin Ln.

Beginning in early November, you will see crews working on FM 389 and into the Lou Anna Subdivision along Blake Dr. Work will be done in private easements between residential homes between Blake Dr. and Tracye Lee. This work involves:

• demoing of existing infrastructure
• installation of 24”, 27”, 30” and 36” storm sewer pipe
• adding inlet boxes along Blake Dr and Tracye Lee

We ask for your patience with crews and respect the work zones. Although this work will cause some inconvenience, in the long run, this will address drainage issues that have been occurring in the area for many years. All areas that are disturbed will be replaced to alike condition. Much of the work on Blake Dr. will be behind the curb yet in City right-of-way. The contractor and the City of Brenham will be communicating with homeowners where fences need to be removed and access related to driveways during this process.
