The City of Brenham is giving notice of the City's intent to submit a Community Development Fund application for a grant from the Texas Community Development Block Grant Program. The grant application is for $350,000 to be used for street and drainage improvements in Brenham, Texas. The application is available for review at the Brenham City Hall during regular business hours located at 200 W. Vulcan Street, Brenham, Texas 77833, in the City Secretary’s Office, Suite 206.

PUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF BRENHAMTEXAS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
The City of Brenham will hold a public hearing at 5:30 PM on February 1, 2021, in council chambers at the City Hall, 200 W. Vulcan Street. Brenham, Texas 77833 in regard to the submission of an application to the Texas Department of Agriculture for a Texas Community Development Block Grant Program (TxCDBG) grant. The purpose of this meeting is to allow citizens an opportunity to discuss the citizens’ participation plan, the development of local housing and community development needs, the amount of TxCDBG funding available, all eligible TxCDBG activities, and the use of past TxCDBG funds. The City encourages citizens to participate in the development of this TxCDBG application and to make their views known at this public hearing. Citizens unable to attend this meeting may submit their views and proposals to the City of Brenham, 200 W. Vulcan Street Brenham, Texas 77833. This meeting is wheelchair accessible. Persons needing assistance should contact the City Secretary at 979-337-7567. Individuals who require auxiliary aids or services for this meeting should contact the City Secretary at least seventy-two (72) hours before the meeting so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
