Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library patrons visit often to enjoy the fun stories and music by Lou Lou (Louise Barbour). On August 3, 2022, the San Antonio Storytellers Association, which Lou Lou is a member, will be sharing stories and songs with the children and their families of Uvalde to bring interactive laughter and fun. Librarian Idalia Avezuela stated, “I am very touched by Lou Lou’s initiative and kindness. I am confident that she will deliver as much joy to the kids in Uvalde as she gives to our kids here in Brenham.”

The event is being held at the El Progreso Memorial Public Library from 10:30AM to 12:30 PM. Lou Lou will be one of the storytellers sharing her talents. “I am so excited to be included in a group of storytellers that are sharing programs with the children at the Uvalde public library. It is our hope that these programs will bring some joy into these kids’ lives after such a devastating tragedy,” said Lou Lou.
