The City of Brenham would like to notify the public of road improvements regarding MLK Pkwy between N. Park St (Bus 36). and Burleson St. In October, City Council awarded a contract to Larry Young Paving to conduct major reconstruction work on MLK Pkwy (between N. Park and Burleson).

Road work for MLK Pkwy will begin Monday morning December 5th and last until March 31, 2023. The work consists of removing the existing pavement, going back with an all-concrete street surface, and replacing some sections of the curb and gutter.

During this time, the contractor will work one side of the road at a time and MLK will be one-way. When one side is complete, the contractor will convert traffic and reconstruct the other side. The contractor will work with residents and businesses regarding access to their properties.
