Street closures in Downtown Brenham have been announced for the filming of an independent feature film, ICK. The film is a comedy/monster movie, in similar regard to the BLOB and Ghostbusters.

Detours will be set up and the following closures will include:

Wednesday, August 2:
7:00 am – 7:00 pm
Alamo Street: from Austin to Park Street

Thursday, August 3:
4:30 pm – 9:00 pm
Market Street: from Alamo to Main Street

9:00 pm – 11:30 pm
Alamo Street: Park Street (including the intersection) to Baylor Street (including the intersection)

Locations Manager Brenon Hawley says, “Beyond making a stellar movie, our goal is to show the film industry, and state, that Texas is a viable place for film and television production. We want to bring more jobs to the state, along with more tax incentives, that will allow even larger productions to be active and impacting this area.”

The film is directed by Joseph Kahn, a notable director of music videos and commercials for the last 20 years. ICK is his fourth feature film.
