Recruitment for City Manager Begins December 22, 2023
Mayor Atwood Kenjura announced today, December 21, 2023, after an Executive Session in the City Council meeting, that it was decided to begin the recruitment process for a City Manager.
The City has chosen to conduct the recruitment process in-house. We believe that this approach will enable us to identify a candidate who not only possesses the necessary skills and experience but also aligns with the values and vision of our community.
To ensure widespread visibility and attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates, advertising for the City Manager position will officially commence tomorrow, December 22, 2023. The recruitment efforts will leverage various channels to reach a broad audience, including online platforms, local media outlets, and professional networks.
The first review of applicants is scheduled for January 29, 2024. "We are eager to identify a dedicated individual who will lead our City," said Mayor Kenjura.
