Main Street Brenham, dedicated to revitalizing and preserving historic downtown business districts, is proud to announce its 25th-anniversary celebration. This milestone will be marked by a year-long series of events and activities, culminating in a celebration dinner on Thursday, April 11th at the Barnhill Center.

As part of the celebration, Main Street Brenham will unveil its exclusive 25th-anniversary logo, symbolizing a quarter-century of commitment to preserving history and fostering community development. The logo, carefully designed to reflect the organization's journey, will soon become a prominent emblem of Main Street Brenham's ongoing dedication.

Since its inception in 1999, Main Street Brenham, a part of the Texas Historical Commission’s Texas Main Street Program, has played a pivotal role in the improvement of Brenham's historic downtown district. Through a cooperative effort with sponsors such as the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the Texas Historical Commission, Main Street Brenham has facilitated over $2.25 million in reinvestment activities.

Main Street Brenham envisions downtown Brenham as the heart of the community—a place where history is preserved, unique businesses thrive, and the community and visitors gather for restaurants, shopping, living, and entertainment. The organization is committed to achieving this vision through its 4-point approach to revitalization: organization, promotion, design, and economic restructuring.

As a proud member of Main Street America, Main Street Brenham aligns with a network of over 1,600 neighborhoods and communities committed to building stronger communities through preservation-based economic development. Main Street America has been at the forefront of revitalizing historic commercial districts for more than 40 years.
