Brenham, TX

Beginning Monday, June 17, 2024, the City of Brenham is partnering with Miller Bros to complete the Gas Main Line Pressure Testing Project. This project consists of removing six abandoned gas taps, two unutilized gas valves, and pressure testing approximately 5,000 ft of steel gas main along South Chappell Hill Street from South Market Street to US 290 East. The utility work will begin on June 17, 2024, and end on July 26, 2024. During this time, citizens may see a flame near the 1300 Block of US 290 East. This flame is where the City of Brenham Gas Department will be purging the gas main in preparation for the gas work. Also, during this period there may be an odor of gas in the vicinity of the project. Work zones and traffic control will be present.
