Holiday Notification - Christmas and New Year
In celebration of Christmas and New Year, City offices will be closed Wednesday - Thursday, December 24 - 25, 2025, and Thursday, January 1, 2026. Additional closures for specific facilities are in the list below.
This closure affects the following:
- City Hall
- Municipal Court
- Pet Adoption & Animal Services
- Blue Bell Aquatic Center - closing early on New Years Eve, 1 pm on Wednesday, December 31, 2025
- Collection/Transfer & Recycling Station - closing early on Wednesday, December 24 & 31, at 3 :00 pm. Closed Thursday, December 25 & January 1.
- Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library - closing at 5 pm on Wednesday, December 31.
- Brenham & Washington County Texas Visitor Center - open New years eve (December 31) from 10 am - 3 pm
- BVR Residential and Recycling Curbside Pickup - No residential curbside pickup on Christmas Day or New Years Day. All routes will move forward one day after the holiday. We know the holidays can create greater-than-usual sanitation needs. Avoid overfilling carts during this two-week holiday period. BVR will only pick up trash placed in carts.
- BVR Commercial Sanitation - Commercial dumpster routes on each holiday will be incorporated into the routes on Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday of that week.
