Public Invited to Developers Workshop - Evaluating the Adoption of Impact Fees

The City of Brenham is currently in the process of considering the implementation of Impact Fees for Water, Wastewater, and Roadways, as part of a formal Impact Fee Study conducted in collaboration with Strand Associates. The Capital Improvements Advisory Committee (CIAC) has convened three times to review and deliberate on the potential adoption of these Impact Fees. Additionally, the City of Brenham has organized a Developers Workshop to share the Committee's work and engage in further discussions regarding the potential Impact Fees. The workshop, open to the public, will cover the following topics:

  • Understanding Impact Fees
  • Analysis of Land Use and Population Assumptions and their impact on future development
  • Overview of Capital Improvement Plans for Water, Wastewater, and Roadways
  • Assessment of Potential Impact Fees for Brenham, with regional comparisons
  • City of Brenham's Development and Financial Outlook
  • Overview of the Impact Fee Adoption Process and Next Steps
