City of Brenham Police Department Announces Retirement of Chief Lloyd Powell
The City of Brenham announces the retirement of Police Chief Lloyd Powell, who will be stepping down after 27 years of dedicated service to the community. Chief Powell’s leadership and commitment to public safety have left a lasting impact on the City and its residents.
Under Chief Powell’s direction, the department has made significant strides in community policing, officer training, and crime prevention efforts. His dedication to fostering strong relationships between law enforcement and the community has strengthened public trust and enhanced safety throughout the city.
“Serving the people of Brenham has been one of the greatest honors of my career,” said Chief Powell. “I am grateful for the incredible team of officers and staff who work tirelessly to keep our community safe. Brenham is a special place, and I will always cherish the memories and relationships built over the years.”
