City of Brenham Receives ‘Superior’ Rating from Texas Commission on Environmental Quality Water Report
The City of Brenham is proud to announce that its public water supply system has once again received a “Superior” rating following a compliance investigation conducted by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
The inspection evaluated compliance with all applicable state requirements for public water systems. No violations were identified, and the City’s water system continues to merit recognition as a Superior system.
“This rating reflects the dedication and professionalism of our staff and their commitment to providing safe and reliable drinking water to our residents,” said Mayor Atwood Kenjura.
TCEQ regulates the City of Brenham’s water system under Regulated Entity No. 101386662 and Public Water System (PWS) ID No. 2390001. The Superior rating indicates strong operational performance, regulatory compliance, and ongoing stewardship of water resources. Maintaining this standard requires continuous monitoring, training, and investment in infrastructure to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
