Reminder of the Fireworks Ordinance
The Independence Day holiday is a time to celebrate with family and friends. Remember it is illegal to shoot fireworks within the city limits. Like other summer holidays, when the warm weather hits, there’s nothing better than the smell of food on the grill. Along with grilling, many celebrations will also include, camping, traveling, and fireworks.
- As you celebrate with your family and friends, be sure to check for local burn bans and fire restrictions in the county
- While many parts of the state have received large amounts of rain, it only takes a few warm, sunny days to dry out, increasing the risk of wildfires
- If you are barbecuing, or roasting marshmallows near a backyard fire pit, always keep a water source near you (hose, bucket, or wet rags)
