Holiday Notification - Christmas and New Year

In celebration of Christmas and New Year, City offices will be closed Tuesday - Wednesday, December 24 - 25, 2024, and Monday, January 1, 2025.  Additional closures for specific facilities are in the list below.

This closure affects the following:

• City Hall
• Municipal Court
• Pet Adoption & Animal Services
• Blue Bell Aquatic Center - also closed on New Years Eve, Tuesday, December 31, 2024
• Collection/Transfer & Recycling Station - closing early on Tuesday, December 24 & 31, at 1 :00 pm. Closed Wednesday, December 25 & January 1.
• Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library
• Brenham & Washington County Texas Visitor Center - open New years eve (December 31) from 10 am - 3 pm
• BVR residential pickup - No residential curbside pickup on Wednesday holidays. All routes will move forward one day from the holiday. (Collections for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will be pushed one day - Wednesday pick-up will occur on Thursday, Thursday pick-up will occur on Friday, and Friday pick-up will occur on Saturday.)
• BVR commercial dumpster routes on each Wednesday will be worked into the routes on that Tuesday or Thursday of each Holiday week.
• Holiday Weeks Residential note: We know the holidays can produce more than normal sanitation needs. Avoid overfilling carts during this two-week holiday period. BVR will only pick up trash placed in carts.
