Annual Fire Hydrant Audit Beginning Monday, August 5, 2024

The City of Brenham announced today that Texas Hydrant Service will conduct the annual fire hydrant audit beginning Monday, August 5, 2024. This important inspection will ensure that all fire hydrants in our city are functioning correctly.

• Date: Monday, August 5, 2024
• Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Teams: 3 crews, each consisting of 3 personnel
• Duration: Approximately one week

During the audit, each fire hydrant will take about 5 minutes to inspect. If the water inside your home appears cloudy or smells of chlorine during this time, please run your tap until it clears. This is a normal occurrence and should resolve quickly.
