Modified Hours for January 21-22, 2025

Due to expected weather conditions, the Blue Bell Aquatic Center will have a delayed opening on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 8:00 am.

Due to winter weather conditions, the following facilities will have revised hours Tuesday, January 21, 2025. The following will operate from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm :

  • Animal Services
  • Blue Bell Aquatic Center
  • Library
  • Visitor Center

BVR has closed the Collection Station and Recycling Center to the public on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Collection services will be pushed back a day (Tuesday to Wednesday, Wednesday to Thursday, Thursday to Friday, Friday to Saturday). All commercial dumpsters scheduled for Tuesday will be worked in through the week.

Happy Friday! Time to check your P's for the upcoming weather - Protect People, Pets, Pipes, & Plants from cold weather:

  • People:
    • Minimize time outdoors.
    • Prepare for power outages.
    • Check on elderly and other vulnerable people to make sure they're ok.
  • Pets:
    • Keep your pets warm, dry and indoors as much as possible.
    • Ensure their food and water doesn't freeze.
    • Limit outside time and keep them bundled up.
  • Pipes:
    • Insulate pipes if possible.
    • Open sink cabinets to expose pipes to heated air.
    • Disconnect hoses and turn off water to sprinklers.
  • Plants:
    • Know their temperature thresholds.
    • If possible, cover them before the cold weather sets in to help retain some heat.
