City of Brenham Economic Development Seeks  Community Service Grant Applicants

The City of Brenham Economic Development announced today, September 30, 2024, that the application process is open for the Community Service Grant (CSG) Funding application. The Brenham City Council formed a Community Services Committee in 1991 to provide grant funding to local organizations that provide services to the community to promote a public purpose and are for a public good. The Committee consists of three (3) members of the City Council with the Economic and Community Development Director serving as the staff liaison for the committee.

Organizations may now apply for a Community Service Grant (CSG). Any organization requesting funding must submit an online application to the Economic and Community Development Director no later than Sunday, November 3, 2024, at 11:30 pm. While there is no established grant limit, most successful applicants request money for smaller projects, programs, or recurring overhead expenses.

The Committee will review all requests and recommend funding to the City Council. Any organization awarded funds will be notified in writing of their award amount. Grant award notifications and a check payable to the organization will be sent out in mid-January 2025.
