Gas Main Break at Blue Bell Rd. and Highway 36 North

Update 11:46 am:

The City of Brenham notified the public of a gas line hit at Blue Bell Road and Highway 36 North around 10:00 AM today, September 3, 2024.  A construction crew moving dirt at the new gas station hit a 4-inch gas line. Crews are on site working to turn off the gas to the break. The Fire and Police Departments are on location. The current wind direction is helping, so no evacuations are expected. No traffic delays or detours are expected.

BlueBell and Hwy 36. Utilities crews are on site to make repairs. No immediate threats to the public and no-shelter-in-place issued.
