Loesch Street Roadway Mill and Overlay Begins September 21
We want to make you aware that the City of Brenham Street Department will be improving Loesch St as it relates to the asphalt roadway surface beginning Monday September 21st. A mill and overlay of the roadway will be conducted from Tom Green St to Pecan St. Work will take place between the hours of 7:30 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.
City staff will work with residents to get access to driveways throughout this process. City crews will remove the old asphalt, and then have new asphalt applied. Since this is a mill and overlay project, it will be much quicker than a full reconstruction project.
This mill and overlay process will be conducted within 5-7 days and once new asphalt is applied it will improve the surface of your street for many years to come. As with any street work project there will be times when dusty conditions will be noticed. Please be patient with our crew and work zones.
The day we lay asphalt will be very limited to vehicular travel. If you are unsure of the road conditions, please check with one of our crew members before you drive on the road.
Also, please park all cars in driveways or off the roadways between the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. If you have a sprinkler system in your yard, we ask you to please turn it off during this time.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call.
