Today, September 23, 2021, the Brenham City Council named Carolyn Miller, Assistant City Manager - Chief Financial Officer, as interim City Manager. Miller began her career at the city in 2005 and was named Assistant City Manager in 2015. In her role as Assistant City Manager, she manages Economic Development, Library, Tourism & Marketing, Finance, Municipal Court, Strategic Budgeting, Human Resources, Purchasing, and Information Technology.

Miller brings a performance-driven management style coupled with strong operational and financial expertise that provides a strong foundation for upholding the public trust in government. She states, "I am excited for this opportunity, and I look forward to working with the Mayor, City Council, and City Staff on a smooth transition."
