City of Brenham to Test Everbridge – Emergency Notification System on March 6
The City of Brenham will conduct a scheduled test of the Everbridge Emergency Communication System on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

This test is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of our emergency notification system. Everbridge is a free service that allows residents to receive emergency and important community alerts via phone, text, email, or all three. The system notifies residents about severe weather, flooding, gas leaks, police activity, and other urgent public safety situations.
What Residents Should Expect
At 10:00 a.m. on March 6, registered residents will receive a test notification via the contact methods they selected during registration. For certain alerts, recipients may be asked to confirm receipt of the message. Confirming helps ensure the system is functioning properly. If a recipient does not confirm, the system may attempt additional contact methods to ensure delivery.
Residents who already have an account are encouraged to log in and verify their contact information is up to date.
This is only a test. No action is required beyond confirming receipt if prompted.
