Brenham Animal Services to Offer Low-Cost Spay and Neuter Program for Washington County Pets Thanks to Generous Donor

Washington County pet owners now have access to low-cost spay and neuter services, thanks to funding from a generous donor, making it more affordable for residents to care for their pets while helping reduce the number of unwanted animals in the community.

The program, administered through Brenham Animal Services, provides vouchers that cover spay/neuter surgery, a rabies vaccine, an E-collar, and pain medication for qualifying pets.

Spaying and neutering help pets live longer, healthier lives, can improve behavior, prevent unwanted litters, and help reduce the number of homeless animals in Washington County.

Program Requirements:

  • Must live in Washington County
  • Pet must be 4 months to 10 years old
  • Pet must weigh between 4–100 lbs
  • Owner must agree to free microchip and weigh-in
  • Pet must accompany owner at time of application
  • $25 non-refundable deposit required
  • Funding is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
