Brenham Police Department and HSI Execute Search Warrant in Child Exploitation Investigation

BRENHAM, Texas - September 23, 2026 - Detectives with the Brenham Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID), working with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), executed search and arrest warrants in the 1000 block of Thiel Street at approximately 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, September 22. The warrants stemmed from a joint investigation into allegations that an individual accessed child sexual abuse material from the internet. The Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol assisted with the operation, which concluded without incident.

Officers arrested Victor Manuel Donate Jr. (31), of Brenham, on a charge of Possession of Child Pornography, More Than 50 Visual Depictions, a first-degree felony. Detectives also seized multiple digital devices for forensic analysis. The investigation remains ongoing.

“Those who exploit children should expect a determined response from this department,” said Brenham Police Chief Gary Boshears. “Our detectives will pursue these investigations aggressively, and our partnerships with HSI and other agencies give us the resources to identify offenders, protect children, and bring cases forward for prosecution. I appreciate the work of everyone involved in this operation.”

A criminal charge is an allegation. The arrested individual is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
