Visit Brenham Welcomes New Destination Manager Kristopher Gore

The City of Brenham and Visit Brenham are excited to welcome Kristopher Gore as the new Destination Manager for Visit Brenham. He began October 12, 2026. With deep roots in Brenham and a passion for our community, Kris brings a unique combination of local knowledge, relationship-building, and customer service experience to this role.

“Kris brings something special to this role. He has a genuine connection to Brenham and the people who make our community what it is,” said City Manager Megan Mainer. “Tourism is about more than attracting visitors. It’s about building relationships, supporting local businesses, and sharing the stories that make our community unique. Kris understands that, and we’re excited to see his leadership help Visit Brenham continue to grow.”

After moving to Brenham at age 9, he grew up in a family of BISD educators and went on to spend 23 years with H-E-B, working his way from lot attendant to Beer and Wine Manager. Along the way, he built lasting relationships with many of the people who make our community special. He later expanded his professional experience in the insurance industry.

Gore stated, “I’m excited to now serve as Destination Manager for Visit Brenham, using my experience to work with our local tourism partners in showcasing the history, character, and hospitality of the area.”
